- Verify insurance coverage and eligibility for patients - Review and analyze insurance claims and documents - Ensure accuracy of patient information and insurance details - Communicate with insurance companies to obtain necessary information - Update patient records with insurance information and changes - Assist with billing and coding processes - Collaborate with medical staff to resolve insurance-related issues - General Medical Office Work Skills:
- Proficient in medical terminology and coding (ICD-10, ICD-9) - Knowledge of managed care and insurance verification processes - Familiarity with medical office procedures and practices - Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry - Excellent communication skills - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Knowledge of medical records management and documentation - Understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient privacy This position requires a high level of attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
